'Absolu' means 'absolute" in French. That's this perfume in a nutshell. The 'type' of vanilla is like baking vanilla essence. Creamy and tasty. Gourmand basically, but because it's so pure you could honestly wear it to any occasion. It's very flexible.
Not floral or green. Not syrupy or super sugar overdose.
Just a nice, solid vanilla.
I would love this smell on men or women, even though I suppose it's classically a women's fragrance.
Longevity mid/moderate. Wish it lasted longer and was a bit stronger. But for the price and scent perfection, I can deal with it.

agreed with other reviews about the synthetic, artificial vanilla smell.
the synthetic smell mostly comes from the initial spray rather than the dry down. this scent is suuupperrrr sweet but also soft when you get to the base notes. super yummmyyyyyyyyyy

The smell is so amazing! Very sweet but in like a creamy, vanilla dessert kind of way. The smell is so strong too which is the greatest especially given the price! Because you only need to use a little bit and it will last all day of wear. This perfume is my favourite and so is this brand! I love Palermo 🥰

I do really like the fragrance. It has a extremely strong vanilla scent. Which is exactly what you want from a vanilla perfume. It does have a very artificial sweet profile. Which seems to be the con with the original fragrance as well.

I would say that if you don't like artificial or synthetic vanilla scents, you will definitely not like this.

The opening is very synthetic. It gave my partner a bit of a headache after freshly spraying and then getting in the car. But it sticks for hours and the dry down is beautiful! The scent sticks for multiple days on my claw clicks after applying the perfume to my hair! Which I personally love!
