I really wish I had a vial or test spray of the original Enigma because this Palermo #483 is truly messing with my senses and dare I say shyly, a disappointment?. My nose fails to correspond with what the brain is expecting - sweetness. The notes listed though are different than the official with missing notably the tobacco and booze.
The opening citrus is short lived as is the mids and soon settles to a dry soapy/woody dry down. Oddly enough I still get whiffs of sweetness in the air which bamboozles me as it it not detected on the skin.
It's not a total dislike but rather an underwhelming scent - to me - and a reminder to pay more attention to the listed notes, when provided for future orders. There's no way I'd splurge on any frag over $200 and am quite comfortable with 'inspired' options which hopefully offer a close glimpse of what warrants such high prices.
