While still readily available, the current incarnation is a vastly different formulation to those of us old enough to remember the hyper-masculine OG version that burst forth with spicy woods and the subtle sublime blend of lavender and sandalwood. While the opening is reminiscent of autumn afternoons sipping pastis alongside the Seine, the dry down and its longevity here is worth the price alone. For this there is none better.
