I've never smelt the original Moss Breches, so I cannot comment on how close the two scents are, but I love this perfume inspired by it. It feels like something you could wear as an everyday scent, and so far it seems fairly long-lasting (with even one spray).
Definitely not too woody (like other men's perfumes which I struggle to like).
Very aromatic, in a herbal and spicy type of way, but not offensively so.
And most notably, its quite sweet, with a clear honey/amber scent. Even with this sweetness though, I think the woody and spicy notes still make it seem masculine.
I'm a person who normally gravitates towards very green and citrusy perfumes. But I still enjoy this perfume because I think the honey/amber/warm sweetness does a good job at balancing out the spicy and woody scents. I think I also enjoy it because there's a slight sense of earthiness to it, which hints towards the green perfumes that I like.
I did think this perfume would smell a bit more mossy (as I definitely have smelt and own mossier perfumes), so I think the original name is slightly misleading. But I'm pleasantly surprised that it doesn't smell like that, as I think this is a complementary but very different perfume to add to my regular rotation.
